How do you clean your face? Do you use chemical based facial cleansers? are you tired of getting dry skin after using store-bought facial cleansers? do you really want to get rid of acne in the most natural way possible?  YES!!!!

Here is one of my favorite Self-Care tips! A great way to pamper myself after a long day.

This is no secret, really!. For years, even ancient civilizations have used natural accessible ingredients like oils to cleanse and treat the skin (it was one of Cleopatra’s secret).

The thing about oils is that they are natural products with quite a few benefits: it hydrates the skin, helps get rid of impurities, balances skin oil production, removes make-up and provides natural vitamin E among other things.

Let’s say you have skin problems acne, or irritation. How do you feel about washing that sensitive area with detergent and chemicals? yes, that’s pretty much what is found in most skin care products. A lot of those store-bought products have so many chemicals that can cause more harm than good. Remember, the skin is the biggest organ we have, and it acts as a barrier to protect us from the outside and that also includes what we put on it.

Often times, if experiencing oily skin, it might be due to many factor and your skin is trying to balance things out and protecting it by over-producing more oil. So, if you buy a facial wash that removes the oils from your skin, what do you think is going to happen? – exactly, your skin will produce more oil. Your body will always try to protect itself and getting rid of something (the oil) is not the solution. There could be many factor for oily skin including diet, hormonal imbalance, stress, pollutants, or even genetics, and you could monitor some of this by taking a closer look of your daily activities, lifestyle and eating habits.

I have been using this for about 2 years and it has been amazing for my skin! I no longer have pimples, specially at that time of the month when the infamous zit will appear right in the middle of my face and it definitely hydrates the skin.
I use a combination of natural oils like grapeseed oil, olive oil, almond oil and castor oil that effectively remove the dirt that is trapped in our pores, resulting in a radiant glowing skin.

One ingredient that is really good at sticking to the dirt particles and removing them from the pores is castor oil. I use 1/4 part of it diluted in a mix of other oils, whatever you might have on hand.

facial oil wash 1

For a 2 oz bottle (which is what I have in the video) I use:
– 1 tbsp castor oil
– 1 tbsp almond oil
– 1 tbsp grapeseed oil (or olive, avocado oil)
– 1 tbsp apricot oil
– a few drops of tea tree oil
– a few drops lavender essential oil (or lemon, geranium, jasmine, or any other favorite)

Voila!!! and the next morning there is no need to wash your face, only rinse with warm water.

Hope you enjoy it and let me know how you liked it. 🙂
